that was the shift I felt
as my life progressed, it got harder

that’s what i saw behind the scenes
the dangers of disrupting the fabric of day-to-day life
I wanted to stay close to my instruments

who’s to say what contributes, to a term of mental illness

I thought i knew all the standard deviations
but try and stay focused when your head is exploding
they were gonna bump my allotment, cancel my certification
I couldn’t just sit there with everything up and running
